Superstition Mountain Golf

Superstition Mountain boasts two spectacular Nicklaus designed courses – the Prospector, which opened in 1998 and Lost Gold, opened a year later.

• Prospector Golf Course: Jack Nicklaus and Gary Nicklaus design – par 72 at 7,225 yards. The community-based course is inviting for a broad range of golfing skill levels, yet still sought after by the pros. The course features inspirational vistas, fairways that are wide and friendly, and green speeds that are faster than at some major tournaments.

• Lost Gold Golf Course: Jack Nicklaus with son Jack Jr. designed – par 72 at 7,351 yards. A links-style desert course, Lost Gold maintains the Superstition Mountain reputation for playability and meticulous conditions. The course features generous fairways and strategic bunker placement. This course possesses greater shot value than the Prospector Course due to slightly smaller greens and strategic bunker placements.

Unlike many desert courses, both Lost Gold and Prospector feature wall-to-wall turf (a total of 180 acres of grass on the two tracks) and wide landing areas. From the first tee at Prospector to the 18th green at Lost Gold, each hole is intended to be inviting, playable and challenging for golfers of all skill levels. The two courses combine for what are truly 36 holes of spectacular golf unlike any in Arizona.
