• Real Estate:
One of the key considerations when purchasing a home or building lot in a private community is the financial soundness of the community itself. Champion Hills community recently celebrated its 25th anniversary and is debt-free with all amenities in place. Having been member-owned since 2001 and whatever the economic climate, Champion Hills have maintained a strong financial standing with substantial reserves for ongoing capital expenditures.

The living options at Champion Hills include cottages, maintenance-free townhomes, villas and single-family residences. Architectural standards ensure that every home blends with the natural environment, but do not mandate that every home is the same. With over 300 completed homes, prospective buyers have the option to choose from a variety of residences from $350,000 to over $2 million. A number of homesites are also available where you can design and build your own perfect mountain retreat. Its worth noting Champion Hills has only about 10-15% of the homes currently for sale, this compares most favorably to similar communities.

• Golf:
Although Champion Hills is consistently ranked among the top 15 golf courses in North Carolina. Designed by Tom Fazio, our par-71 course offers spectacular mountain golf that, as Tom likes to say, “looks hard but plays easy.” Male and female golfers of every skill level enjoy playing Champion Hills, which offers five sets of tees and 14 downhill holes. And unlike many mountain courses, we’re open year-round, with readily available tee times. In addition to the championship course, there is a driving range and an extensive short game practice area.

• Tennis:
Although Champion Hills is known for our Tom Fazio championship golf course there is an active tennis program for both men and women, with 100 regular players and a full calendar of social and competitive events. Whether you want to learn the game, improve your skills or compete, you will find other players at Champion Hills on your same level and with your same interests. Champion Hills Director of Tennis is a USPTA P-1 certified professional who was named the 2011 senior player of the year in North Carolina. He has over 30 years of teaching experience, so he can help you improve no matter what level you are on now. Champion Hills has tournaments and travel matches for the serious players, but understands that many players are interested in the game for exercise and fun.

• Fitness:
Champion Hills full-service fitness and wellness facility, open 24/7/365, offers professional services including personal training, exercise classes, body composition analysis and an annual wellness seminar series. The Center Director has extensive certifications in sports science, fitness training and senior fitness training.

The Fitness Center is equipped with state-of-the-art Precor, Cybex and other equipment for both strength and cardio workouts. Classes include Yoga, Core Pilates and Nia. Other classes can be added based on member interest. Sport-specific training is also available for golf, tennis and other sports.

• Swimming:
An outdoor heated pool, hydro spa and sun deck are included with the Champion Hills Fitness and Wellness Center.

• Recreation:
Within the Champion Hills community, there are several green spaces designated as parks for use of the residents. There is also a recreation area that includes competition bocce courts, a picnic area and other recreation options. There are over four miles of marked walking trails within the community. Within 30 minutes of Champion Hills you’ll find unlimited recreational options including horseback riding, fishing, boating, hunting, cycling, shooting, hiking, camping, kayaking, canoeing—almost any outdoor activity you can think of.

• Dining:
Champion Hills Club has recently hired a new chef and new Director of Dining Operations who are moving the dining experience to a new level. The Club offers several dining options for members and their guests.

The Fazio Bar and Grill is a great place to relax after golf or tennis or to just meet friends for lunch or dinner. Many members just stop by for a drink at the bar with friends, while others enjoy its casual dining atmosphere and beautiful mountain views.

A recent renovation of the clubhouse included a new alfresco dining area that offers members a more upscale dining experience. This beautiful room features an entire wall that opens to a spectacular view of the mountains. Watching the sun set across the mountains has made this space a favorite for members.

The larger dining room has also been recently renovated and is available for weekend evening dining, events, holidays, parties or any time a larger gathering space is needed. This room also features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the mountains and an exposed beam ceiling that are the architectural highlight of the clubhouse.

• Shopping:
The town of Hendersonville is just 10 minutes away from the entrance of Champion Hills and offers major grocery chains, drug stores, the Fresh Market and all the necessities that you might need. Hendersonville has also been named one of the best small towns in the South and has many galleries, high-end clothing stores and boutiques. A short drive away, you will find the new Biltmore Park Town Square and the city of Asheville with numerous shops, boutiques, galleries, dining and other services.

• Area Attractions:
